Predicted the division
of untaxed burden between employers and
employees in the Clinton Health Care
Program. Through analytical analysis, DII
was able to identify the key stakeholders in
Congress as well as other branches of
government who would support and oppose
these interests.

Devised strategies for
gaining US Congressional acquiescence to the
inclusion of an agricultural agreement as a
part of a general agreement on trade in
services (GATS) treaty. DII was able to
analytically determine those Congressmen who
were instrumental in building coalitions to
support the agreement.

Predicted the
likelihood that Sri Lanka's foreign
investment liberalization would continue
regardless of the actual vote. Analytical
analysis revealed the effects of various
lobbies and special interest groups that
were involved in the influencing of the
outcome.

DII devised a set of
strategies to direct a
congressionally-funded, non-profit
organization in its quest for fiscal year
funding. As a result of the implementation
of DII’s recommended strategies, the
organization was able to achieve its funding
at a record level despite decreased funding
in previous years.

DII devised strategies
for a major defense contractor to gain
congressional appropriations for a defense
weapons program. Initial analyses indicated
that Congress was not willing to appropriate
full funding of the program. Implementing
DII’s strategic initiatives, the defense
contractor was able to secure bridge funding
for the weapons program in an amount that
was 30% greater than would otherwise have
been available.

DII devised strategies
to delay the repeal of a long-standing bill.
DII’s analysis indicated that if discussions
on the bill began soon, repeal would be
imminent. Following DII’s recommendations,
our Client was able to postpone
Congressional action on this bill
indefinitely, and thus its repeal.
