aerospace industry and advised our Client on
strategies for implementing a merger.
DII forecast whether a
joint venture to bid on a large government
contract could be realized by our Client and
the strategies needed to implement the joint
venture.
DII analyzed the
issues surrounding a merger of two large
companies. Issues included the scope of the
merger, the structure of the new company
including sharelisting and board structure,
the cash to be paid depending on the scope,
and the roles of the CEO and Chairman in the
new company regarding board decisions and
operations. Initial DII analysis suggested a
merger would be difficult to achieve.
Simulations, however, showed a range of
alternative strategies that could be
implemented to achieve the objectives of our
Client.
