  • DII forecast and designed strategies to gain landing rights in a foreign country. The initial forecast indicated that the country would not be receptive to granting these rights. DII’s recommended strategies identified the key stakeholders in the negotiations and the precise juncture when they had to be approached. Following DII’s recommendations, our Client was able to alter the outcome so that landing rights were granted.
     

  • DII developed strategies for a major supplier of high-tech material to persuade the end-user to implement a completely new set of material specifications so that sub-contractors would be able to purchase and refine this material. Using DII-designed strategies, the supplier proceeded with specific steps to gain acceptance of the specifications.
     

  • DII developed strategies as to how a major service company should price its products so as to gain market share. Through analyses and simulation, DII was able to advise its client on which products to mark up and which to decrease the price in order to gain competitive advantage.
     

  • DII forecast and designed strategies to avoid work stoppage at a major US service company. DII’s base case analysis identified which issues were resolvable and which intractable. DII then devised strategies that altered the outcome of the resolvable issues in the favor of our Client and advised them to proceed with due caution on the intractable issues. As a result of heeding DII’s advice, our Client was able to avoid a work stoppage and significantly reduce its concessions to its employees.
